This is yet another one of my downtown hangouts. From my limited experience, I've noticed that they tend to be open for business when other places have closed, making them a reliable place for meals on a regular basis.

We were seated promptly and had menus brought to our tables right away. There was nothing significant about the service that really stood out, but it was fast and friendly. But there was something on the menu that caught my attention, not because it was an extremely odd choice, but because it was really the only odd choice.

It was the ostrich burger, which surprisingly tastes just like beef. In fact, they could probably replace the beef burger with an ostrich burger and no one would know. According to their menu, ostrich has less fat and more protein than other options. I wonder if there's such a thing as ostrich fillet mignon.

Steve's Greenhouse Grill is located at 139 E. Adams St. In Phoenix.
