It's not uncommon every couple of months to see a hawk flying around the valley. And at the outer edges, it's even more common. But it seems that now I'm noticing them flying around every single day over the past week. Has anyone else noticed this? Any idea what the reason for this might be?

Have you find out what was attracting the hawks? I usually see them when they are dead animals around...my bil has had trouble with them hanging around his pigeons coop...maybe they were after some migrating-type bird.

I have not found out, nor have I been able to find any mention of it anywhere on the internet. Yet I continue to see them more often than ever. It may be that they are hovering over dead or dying animals, though I'm not sure why there would be such a surge of that within the last month. It seems that if they were following a migrating bird that this would be an annual thing, but this is the first year I remember noticing it. Thanks for the possibilities. If anyone has any information, feel free to chime in.
